My Rights

Knowing our rights seem to always be a contention of law.

When we think of human rights we think of: Freedom, equal pay, the right to do with our bodies as we please, freedom from slavery, right to choose etc.

As Christians we have rights:

1. To open our mouths for the dumb – Proverbs 31: 8-9

2. To be free of bias, racism, prejudice – Galatians 3:28, Colossians 3:11

3. To plead for the oppressed , judge the fatherless and plead for the widows Isaiah 1:17

4. To be subjected to the Power of God’s love - Romans 13:1-10

Micah 6:8 is very clear in what God requires of us: to do justly, love mercy and walk humbly before God. Our Rights are clearly delineated in the Word of God.

We have the right to know what God in Christ Jesus has done for us:

• To know and do what He has called us to do

• To Recognize Him as the only true and Living God

• To serve Him and Him alone

• We have to be His witness and to share His love with all.
